Violet is a special red wine, made from Tempranillo and Grenache grapes grown in the low-lying mountains of Navarre.
Varieties
50% Grenache and 50% Tempranillo (cask-aged for two months)
Tasting Notes
Sight: Medium to full-bodied wine. Bright, intense cherry red in colour, with violet hints.
Smell: Intense and highly complex on the nose, with notes of fruits of the forest, jam, aromatic herbs and flowers (violets and lilacs).
Taste: Powerful and well-structured on the palate, with marked ripe fruit hints, making it a highly complex, well-balanced wine with good acidity.
Finish: Pleasant, long and lingering, complemented by the sweetness of the Grenache variety.
Food pairing: Roast and barbecued red meat, meat and fish stews, game, pulses and Spanish cold meats.
Best served: Serve between 16ºC and 17ºC.
